The One Belt One Road Scholarship, also known as the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) Scholarship, is a program launched to strengthen international cooperation and educational exchange between China and countries involved in the Belt and Road Initiative.
This scholarship supports outstanding students from participating countries to pursue higher education at Chinese universities across a wide range of disciplines. It aims to promote mutual understanding, development, and shared prosperity.
Benefits
The scholarship may include full or partial financial support, depending on the university and local government policies. Common benefits include:
- Tuition Coverage: Full or partial waiver of tuition fees.
- Monthly Living Allowance: A monthly stipend to cover living expenses, based on the level of study:
- Undergraduate students: CNY ¥2,000 per month
- Master’s students: CNY ¥3,000 per month
- Doctoral students: CNY ¥3,500 per month
- Accommodation: Free or subsidized on-campus housing, or a housing allowance.
- Medical Insurance: Comprehensive health insurance for the duration of study.
