About

Huzhou University is a comprehensive public university located in Huzhou City, Zhejiang Province—a city known as the birthplace of President Xi Jinping’s “lucid waters and lush mountains” philosophy. Founded in 1916, the university has evolved through several institutional mergers and began offering undergraduate programs in 1994 and postgraduate programs in 2012.

Today, Huzhou University has 14 faculties and offers programs across 11 disciplines including education, engineering, agriculture, medicine, and the arts. It serves over 13,000 full-time students and employs more than 2,900 faculty members, including internationally recognized scholars. The university is nationally recognized for its excellence in teaching, research, and talent cultivation, and ranks among the top 1% globally in disciplines like mathematics, clinical medicine, and engineering.

  • A study plan of at least 800-1200 words;
  • Research proposal (at least 3000 words in Chinese or English).
  • Two recommendation letters from professors or associate professors.
  • Resume / CV
  • Language proficiency certificates: TOEFL≥80, IELTS≥ 6.0 or Duo-lingo English Test ≥ 90; or Medium of Introduction Certificate.
  • Applicants who completed their previous studies in an English-taught program in a non-English-speaking country must submit an official letter from their university stating that the language of instruction was English.”

  • Non-criminal record report (usually issued within six months before the application submission date).
