Welcome to Central South University of Forestry and Technology (CSUFT), a place that advances knowledge and transforms lives through innovative academic programs, research, and outreach.

Founded in 1958, CSUFT has developed into a multidisciplinary university comprising a wide range of disciplines in science, engineering, agriculture, arts, law, economics, management and education, and has been authorized to offer a comprehensive range of programs including bachelor, master, doctor’s programs and post-doctoral programs. Since its foundation, the university has turned out over 160,000 talents. CSUFT is located in the national historical and cultural city: Changsha.

Currently the university consists of 24 colleges and departments: College of Forestry, College of Life Science and Technology, College of Science, College of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, College of Logistics, College of Civil Engineering and Engineering Mechanics, College of Computer and Information Engineering, College of Food Science and Engineering, College of Landscape Architecture, College of Furniture and Art Design, College of Business, College of Economics, College of Politics and Law, College of Foreign Languages, College of Tourism (College of Huatian Tourism and Hospitality Management), College of Physical Culture. The university has 3 State-level key disciplines (forest cultivation, ecology, wood science and technology), 4 national-accredited key disciplines under the State Forestry Bureau (ecology, wood science and technology, forest protection, chemical processing engineering  of forestry products), 9 provincial key disciplines (forest cultivation, ecology, wood science and technology, forest protection, forestry engineering, forest management, environment and resource protection law, environment science, gardening and ornamental horticulture).
