The ANSO Scholarship for Young Talents is a prestigious and fully funded scholarship program designed to support outstanding international students in pursuing Master’s or Doctoral degrees in China. Sponsored by the Alliance of International Science Organizations (ANSO), the scholarship aims to promote scientific collaboration, innovation, and sustainable development by cultivating global talent.

Each year, the scholarship offers generous funding to students from around the world to study at top-tier Chinese institutions, including the University of Science and Technology of China (USTC), the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences (UCAS), and CAS- affiliated institutes.

What the ANSO Scholarship Covers:

The ANSO Scholarship offers a comprehensive benefits package to support international students throughout their studies in China. Here’s what it includes:

  • Full tuition coverage
  • Free on-campus accommodation or housing allowance
  • Monthly living stipend:
  • Master’s students: 3,000 CNY/month
  • Doctoral students: 6,000 CNY/month
  • One-time international travel subsidy
  • Comprehensive medical insurance

ANSO Scholarship – Application Requirements List:

1. Completed ANSO Scholarship application form

2. Copy of highest academic degree (Bachelor’s or Master’s diploma)

3. Academic transcripts (with official seal)

4. Research proposal or study plan

5. Two recommendation letters from professors or academic supervisors

6. Copy of valid passport (information page)

7. Passport-sized photo (recent)

8. Proof of language proficiency (TOEFL, IELTS, or HSK – as required)

9. Letter of acceptance from a potential supervisor (optional but recommended)

10. Nationality (Must be a non-Chinese citizen).

Educational Background & Age Limit

1. Master’s Program Applicants: Must hold a Bachelor’s degree. Must be under the age of 30 by the application deadline.

2. Doctoral Program Applicants: Must hold a Master’s degree. Must be under the age of 35 by the application deadline.

1. University of Science and Technology of China (USTC)

2. University of Chinese Academy of Sciences (UCAS)

3. Institutes affiliated with the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS)

Application Period: Typically open from November to February/March each year.
