About

Founded in 1958, Anhui University of Technology (AHUT) keeps balanced development in engineering, science, economics, management, humanities, law and arts while focusing on engineering. As a multi-disciplinary and comprehensive university, AHUT is strongly supported both by Anhui Provincial Government and Ministry of Science and Technology.

AHUT consists of 2 campuses, covering a total area of 1.64 million square meters. The university provides a vibrant and dynamic environment where 23, 500 undergraduate students, over 3, 400 graduate students and 402 international students are currently pursuing their education in the 62 bachelor-degree programs, 17 master-degree programs of first-level disciplines, 21 granting units of professional master degree and 6 doctor-degree programs.

AHUT ranks among the first batch of Model Universities of Deepening the Reform of Innovative Entrepreneurship, one of top 50 Universities Modelling in Innovative Entrepreneurship Practices, University Implementing Excellent Engineer Education and Training Program of Ministry of Education (MOE) of China, Anhui High-level Construction University with Local Characteristics, National Excellence in College Students’ Psychological Health Education, National Energy Saving Model Unit and “Anhui Model Unit of Overseas Services Station”.

Materials science, engineering and chemistry have been ranked among ESI 1%. 12 programs have passed the undergraduate professional evaluation organized by MOE and the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development, ranking first among Anhui universities. Apart from that, AHUT won the second prize of national teaching achievement. The employment rate of undergraduates has remained above 95% for years. In 2018, AHUT ranked 85th among the top 600 Chinese Universities of ESI highly Cited Papers. In 2019, it ranked among “Top 100 Most Innovative Universities in Mainland China”. In the past five years, students of AHUT have won 58 international awards and 953 national awards in various discipline competitions, realizing three consecutive championships of World RoboCup in China. Further, AHUT was the first university in Anhui to win the Grand Prize and Excellence Prize of Challenge Cup.
